Hugpong ng Pagbabago signs alliance with 6 local, 3 national parties

A number of prominent personalities appeared during the signing of alliance pact on Monday with presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s regional party, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HnP).

Spotted during the alliance signing held at The Blue Leaf Filipinas, Adarna Parañaque were Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Senator Cynthia Villar, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda, and Zamboanga del Norte Representative Seth Frederick Jalosjos, among others.

Sara Duterte herself, together with HnP Secretary General Anthony del Rosario, was also present during the event.

In a chance interview, Del Rosario said that Sara Duterte will not run for senator in next year’s election but would seek re-election as Davao mayor.

“We’ve talked about this several times, definitely po she’s not running for the Senate, ang sinasabi niya, hindi niya pa kayang iwan ang Davao (she says she can’t leave Davao),” Del Rosario said. /je/ac
