For the second time, Joel de la Peña is again seeking the help of Inquirer readers for his son Jonel Gabotero who has cerebral palsy and is an epileptic, a condition that needs lifetime care and medication.
Although De la Peña knows that there are many people asking for help in medical assistance, the optimistic father said he was encouraged to ask for help again because of the positive results he saw in his son’s condition after initial treatments.
“Jonel has improved a lot. He has gained weight, grew bigger and smiles a lot now. When you look at him you would not think that he is unable to walk or chew his own food even if he is already 4 years old. I hope I can appeal to Inquirer readers once more,” said the construction worker from Tondo, Manila.
De la Peña said that apart from therapy sessions and medicines, his son needs a suction to draw out his phlegm when he has pneumonia.
De la Peña can be reached at cell no. 0939-5780062. His account number at Banco de Oro (Morato Avenue, Quezon City branch) is 5267-2700-0946-9400.
