A cargo vessel ran aground on Sunday near the vicinity of Barangay Arimbay in Legaspi City, Albay, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported.

The cargo vessel MV Jerlyn Lily was reportedly carrying 18 crew members and was loaded with copra products.

The incident, which happened around 12 noon and was reportedly due to the low tide in Legaspi City, led to the damage of the Pasig reef located at approximately 500 meters away from the shoreline. /ee
