SAN PEDRO CITY – Three people were killed, while 16 were arrested as police searched alleged drug dens in Bacoor City and Tanza in Cavite province.

A consolidated report from the Calabarzon police released on Wednesday, said two drug suspects died when members of the Bacoor City police implemented search warrants in Barangay Alima and Barangay Sineguelasan around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In Alima, police arrested 16 people reportedly caught sniffing shabu (crystal meth).

Supt. Vicente Cabatingan, Bacoor City police chief, said in a text message that one of the men identified as Harris Iso tried to escape arrest by shooting at the police. Iso was killed when the police shot back.

Similarly, in Sineguelasan, suspect Diowie Concepcion alias “Asiong” was killed when he reportedly tried to fight the police by firing his gun.

The police recovered 11 sachets of suspected shabu from the twin operations in Bacoor City.

In Tanza, drug suspect Ibrahim Tamano died during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagtas around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The report said Tamano shot the police officers but missed, prompting the authorities to shoot him down.
