The viral video of Presidential Communications Assistance Secretary Mocha Uson featuring a controversial jingle on federalism “damaged” the campaign for the proposed change in government system.
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Assistance Secretary Epimaco Densing III issued this affirmation as he pointed out how other supporters campaign “through their own pockets” to help boost the advocacy.
According to Densing, the DILG acts as the “mouthpiece” for federalism.
“Medyo nagkaroon ng damage at maraming sumama ang loob,” Densing told Radyo Inquirer.
(It incurred a bit of damage and many were piqued.)
Uson got widespread backlash after a clip from her “Good News Game Show” showed co-host Drew Olivar dancing while singing “I-pepe, i-pepe. I-dede, i-dede. I-pede, pede, pede, pederalismo.”

Densing lamented Uson’s move.
“Medyo nagkaroon ng konting lamat (It caused a slight crack),” he said.
But while he objected to the controversial video, Densing said people should now “move forward”.
“Kailangan mag-move forward tayo from there (We need to move forward from there),” he said.
He then challenged those against federalism to a public debate to enable “higher level” of discussions about the proposed shift in government. /kga
