SK official, 1 other yield P2.1-M shabu in Pasay City buy-bust operation

More than a kilo of crystal meth or “shabu” was recovered from an incumbent Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) official and his cohort after their arrest in a buy-bust operation Saturday night in Pasay City.

Elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) nabbed Christian Joshua Leria, 22, an SK councilor of Brgy. 97 Zone 13; and Cedrix Garcia, 24, of 667 Virginia Ext M. Dela Cruz St., Brgy. 130 Zone 13 Pasay City.

Authorities said they arrested the suspects around 8:30 p.m. along Taft Ave. Brgy. 97 in Pasay City.

Aside from the 1.375 kilogram of shabu with estimated street value of P2,150,000, also recovered from the suspects were a caliber .38 revolver with four live rounds, one weighing scale, and P2,000.

The suspects are currently in the custody of CIDG-NCR for filing of an appropriate case. /je
