CITY OF ILAGAN—A one-year-old Chinese boy, who was allegedly abducted in Manila by three Chinese men, was rescued on Friday afternoon (Aug. 3) by the local police at a local hotel here.
The boy was identified as You An Zhu of Jiangsu province in China. He was reportedly taken by his father Jinjin Zhu, 30, and two accomplices — 32-year-old Shi Hao and 32-year-old Jinjie Yuan, said Senior Inspector Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson. The suspects also come from Jiangsu.
The boy’s mother, 38-year-old Taiwanese national Ling-I Yuan, reported the abduction to the police.
Ling-I said she ended her relationship with Jinjin and said the boy’s father took him without her knowledge.
The Chinese suspects were turned over to the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group at Camp Crame in Quezon City. /jpv
