A raid at a drug den in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City on Wednesday night yielded 250 grams of shabu worth at least P1.7 million.
Also arrested during the raid were suspects Gary Cruz, Zosima Rogerson, Napoleon Tolentino Jr., Jose Gallardo Carlos, Ariel Legaspi, Arturo Villar, and Rene Pascual. Police said Cruz was the alleged maintainer of the drug den located along P. Mariano St.
The raid on the drug den was led by officers from the Taguig City Police Station who were assisted by operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
According to a report from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Drug Enforcement Unit, the suspects were arrested after receiving the P200,000 marked cash from an undercover police officer in exchange for 50 grams of shabu.
The NCRPO said charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared against the suspects. /muf
