TUGUEGARAO CITY – A bank lost P35 million in cash to five bank robbers who posed as policemen to gain entry in a daring Tuesday heist.

Wearing police uniforms and bonnets, robbers knocked at the door of a commercial bank’s Tuguegarao Branch located along Luna Street, according Tuguegarao police chief Supt. George Cablarda.

Fooled, a bank guard opened the door and was told it was an unscheduled police inspection. The robbers successfully disarmed the two security guards, immediately went up the second floor and took the cash from the bank tellers at gunpoint.
