Drunk cop who assaulted 2, including minor, arrested and relieved
A drunk police officer who pointed his gun at two males inside the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Building F has been arrested and relieved from his post.
During the presentation of the suspect, identified as SPO2 Randy Fortuna of the Pasay City Police Station, NCRPO Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said that they would not tolerate the actions of erring police officers.
“As the NCRPO is firm on its implementation of Internal Cleansing Program, we are not tolerating any wrongdoing or bad behavior of any police officer,” Eleazar said.
“I hope that this presentation of misconduct of the police will serve as warning and lesson to all police officers to refrain from their involvement to any perverse act or activity,” he added.
According to the initial investigation of the NCRPO and the Southern Police District, Fortuna, who was under the influence of alcohol, threatened a certain Jun-jun, a minor and a Grade 11 student, and Harold Godwin Villacruel, 18 years old, both residents of the NCRPO Quartering Building.
As the two victims were buying from a sari-sari store at Building F, Fortuna pointed his gun towards Jun-jun’s head and asked, “Gusto mong sumunod sa tatlong pinatay ko?” before hitting the minor’s shoulder with his firearm.
