BI deporting 10 to China

/ 07:12 AM July 29, 2018

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) is deporting 10 Chinese fugitives wanted for serious offenses, including economic crimes, internet fraud and smuggling, in Beijing.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said the Chinese nationals were now detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, pending deportation proceedings.

Their passports were already canceled, he said. Seven of the 10 Chinese nationals were arrested on July 18 at a raid on their condominium unit on Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.
