A fruit vendor from Barangay Tumana in Marikina City caught selling drugs was arrested by operatives of the city police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) on Thursday night.

Initial reports from the Eastern Police District say that the Marikina police, who have monitored fruit vendor Rolan Flores, 32, confirmed that he was selling illegal drugs, when he sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police.

Authorities then launched the buy-bust operation on Block 70-71, Alley Creek side, Tumana, which led to the suspect’s arrest.

Aside from the sold substance, officers recovered two other sachets of suspected shabu, a coin purse, and the P500 bill used as marked money to buy the illegal substances.

Flores, who will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is under the custody of the Marikina police.
