LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two notorious drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations here early Thursday.

A local drug enforcement unit collared Renante Reyes after he sold a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police in Barangay (village) Dalahican around 4 a.m., according to Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman. He was quoting spot reports from Lucena police chief Supt. Romulo Albacea.

Authorities seized seven sachets of shabu worth a total of P4,000 in the street market.

A police agent said Reyes peddles shabu to fishermen, dock workers, tricycle drivers and youngsters in the coastal village.

In a follow-up operation, authorities also busted Jerico Manaois in another buy-bust in Barangay Ibabang Iyam around 4:45 a.m. The suspect yielded nine sachets of shabu ready for distribution to his clients in the village.
