69% of Filipinos see fighting drugs as Duterte’s top achievement

Almost 7 out of 10 Filipinos believe that eradicating illegal drugs is the “most important” accomplishment of the Duterte administration, the latest Pulse Asia survey released on Monday revealed.

The survey, conducted from June 15 to 21, showed that 69 percent consider the eradication of the problem of illegal drugs as the most important achievement of the current administration.

Fighting criminality came in as second with 50 percent and the salary increase for   police and soldiers at 30 percent.

Only 28 percent consider fighting graft and corruption, which is a campaign promise of President Rodrigo Duterte, as an important achievement of the administration.

In the same survey, 56 percent believed that Duterte should emphasize the creation of more jobs and 52 percent said the President should address inflation in his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday. /cbb
