DARAGA, Albay — The brother of slain Bicolano broadcaster Joey Llana on Sunday called on President Duterte to mention his sibling’s murder in his State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday.

“I am humbly praying that Mr. Duterte will give more emphasis on the brutal murder of my brother in his SONA tomorrow,” Jose Lana told the Inquirer during his brother’s wake in this town.

“I know that [Mr. Duterte] has good plans for the country and that his heart is in the right place to give emphasis on this issue,” Llana said.

Llana was killed by gunmen while leaving his home in Daraga town in Albay province to go to work in radio station dwZR in Legazpi City on Friday. Police are still investigating the crime.
