SAN PEDRO CITY – A traffic enforcer was killed Friday morning in San Pablo City, Laguna that police said was likely due to an altercation with a motorist, who was reportedly flagged for a traffic violation.

City police chief Supt. Danilo Mendoza said the incident happened around 8 a.m. along Regidor Street in Barangay VII-E while victim Manuel Reazo was on duty.

“Our investigators are still out in the area but (initially) we are looking at a traffic altercation as the motive. The suspect was accosted for a traffic violation and he came back (to shoot the enforcer),” Mendoza said in a phone interview.
