Residents of Barangay Poblacion II of Marilao, Bulacan have sought help in evacuating as flood waters are slowly creeping toward their houses.

Residents of the barangay posted on social media photos showing San Miguel Street, where the St. Michael Church and the old municipal hall are located, deep in flood waters.

Netizen Ina Villarica wrote, “Kailangan ng help ng town namin. May subdivision sa Poblacion II na laging baha because of high tide, so yung cause ng baha ngayon saamin is yung high tide and nag overflow na yung (Marilao) river.”

Marilao’s rescue team said they have done rescue operations since Tuesday morning but some residents opted to stay in their homes as floodwaters appeared to recede earlier.

/vvp
