Voter registration is temporarily suspended in several Commission on Elections (Comelec) field offices on Tuesday due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon and Tropical Storm “Henry.”

Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said voter registration is suspended in Comelec field offices in Metro Manila, Regions 4-A and 4-B, Bataan, and Bulacan beginning Tuesday noon.

Likewise, work in these affected field offices as well as the Comelec main office in Intramuros, Manila was also suspended by the poll body.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced that “Henry” has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility  but monsoon rains would continue. /je
