Magnitude-3.5 quake strikes off Polillo, Quezon

A magnitude-3.5 earthquake hit 30 kilometers southeast of the Municipality of Polillo in Quezon province on Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

According to the bulletin from Phivolcs, an Intensity I earthquake was felt in Alabat, Quezon.

The tectonic earthquake was located at a shallow depth of just one kilometer below the ground, the agency said.

No aftershocks and no damages are expected as of now.   /vvp
