Vizcaya restaurant owner killed

BAYOMBONG, NUEVA VIZCAYA – A restaurant owner was shot dead in Barangay (village) District 4 here on Thursday (July 12), police said.

Irene Tanggat, a 44-year-old Baguio City resident, was tending to her restaurant when a man approached the eatery and shot her three times without any warning, said Chief Insp. Joberman Videz, Bayombong police chief. The gunman fled on a motorcycle driven by an accomplice.

Videz said the police has started examining her business transactions here, in Baguio, and in Pangasinan province, to determine why she was attacked. Investigators have also gathered security camera footage to help identify her killers. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
