Vice President Leni Robredo’s approval rating went up while her trust rating dipped by a few points in the latest survey from Pulse Asia released Friday.
In the survey conducted from June 15 to 21, Robredo got an approval rating of 62 percent, or three percent higher than her 59 percent rating in the January 2018 Pulse Asia survey.
Her trust rating, however, slightly dropped by two points from 58 percent in January to 56 in June. Nevertheless, the latest survey ranks her as third most approved and trusted official in government.
President Rodrigo Duterte still got the highest approval and trust ratings in the June survey with 88 percent and 87 percent, respectively followed by former Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III with 72 percent approval and 64 trust ratings.

The same survey noted that Robredo enjoys majority trust ratings in most geographic areas from 54 percent to 62 percent, and Class D at 59 percent.
It noted that Robredo got majority of her approval scores in Metro Manila at 58 percent; Luzon, 56 percent; Visayas, 63 percent; and Mindanao at 73 percent, as well as in Classes D and E both at 63 percent.
However, the survey said, “those in Metro Manila and Classes ABC and E withhold majority trust ratings from her (32 percent to 50 percent).”
The Pulse Asia June 2018 survey was conducted with 1,800 respondents nationwide. It has ± 2 margin of error.
