Boy, 7, hurt in Maharlika Highway accident in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A seven-year-old boy was hurt in a road accident in Sariaya, Quezon on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said in a report that Jarous Eldrich Mañebo was accidentally hit by a San Pablo City bound van while crossing the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Sto. Cristo at around 12:40 p.m.

The victim sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to the Candelaria Doctors Hospital for treatment.

The van’s driver, identified as Joel Ubando, was placed under the custody of Sariaya police. /ee
