‘Gardo’ exits PAR, but some parts of Luzon may still be rainy

Typhoon “Gardo” (internationally known as “Maria”) has left the Philippine area of responsibility Tuesday evening, according to a bulletin issued at 8 p.m. on Tuesday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

But the typhoon may still bring monsoon rains over Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Palawan and Mindoro provinces.

Occasional rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol region, Western Visayas, Marinduque, Romblon and rest of Central Luzon until Wednesday, the

Gardo was last spotted 580 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes.

Sea travel remained risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and western seaboard of Southern Luzon.
