Principal accused in the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam Janet Lim-Napoles will “never be a state witness,” Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales said in an interview on Monday.
“I’m sure my prosecutors will see to it that she will never be a state witness. We have enough proof to see that our case will get to its last stage,” Morales said over ANCs Headstart.
Napoles, who is facing a string of plunder and graft cases before the Sandiganbayan, has applied to become a government witness.
Former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre had given her a provisional coverage but this was no longer renewed by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
