Morales ready to face charges after her term as Ombudsman ends
Retiring Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales said she is ready to face all possible cases that will be hurled against her after the end of her term on July 26.
“That is a possibility [filing of charges]. I am ready,” Morales said.
Last year, President Rodrigo Duterte said an impeachment case should be filed against Morales for selective justice.
“I’m not scared because I know there was nothing that laced my decisions except good faith,” Morales said in an interview on ANC’s Headstart.
She added that she decides on cases based on the evidence provided by both parties and based on the law. — Alyssa Javier/INQUIRER.net Intern /ee
