CABAGAN, Isabela — A motorcycle rider died while his passenger was hurt when they were struck by a speeding bus at the national road in Barangay Balasig here on Sunday (July 8).
Alfonso Quilang was declared dead on arrival at a hospital for serious head injuries, while back rider Ramon Ochoa was in serious condition.
Bus driver Crisostomo Arellano, 57, said Quilang swerved towards his lane. The bus could not stop in time and ran over the motorcycle.
Police are preparing to charge Arellano with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and serious physical injuries. –Villamor Visaya Jr.
