Clark casino holds first beauty pageant
The Midori Casino in Clark, Pampanga presented on Sunday the 21 female contestants joining the first-ever “Miss Midori Clark, Beauty of the New Generation” pageant on August 5.
The contest organizers said the participants, who were chosen from more than 100 hopefuls from May to June 2018, hail from different parts of Central Luzon and Metro Manila.
They said the contestants are career women — among the 21 finalists are a flight attendant, a 3D designer, a content producer for an international company, and a businesswoman. Four of the contestants have already either joined or won awards in other beauty pageants and have pursued careers in hosting, anchoring, and modeling.
Seven of the contestants are also freelance models, and six are college students taking up programs related to political science, nursing, education, tourism, business, and psychology.
“We are looking for a Filipina who embodies the true beauty of the generation… and has a sincere intention to help others, especially the less fortunate,” Midori Clark Casino’s Marketing Head Timmy Diwa said in a statement on Sunday.
Diwa said the winner will serve as the face of Midori and the BB International Leisure and Resort Development Corporation (BBI), the company who owns the gaming park and hotel.
Diwa added that Midori and BBI have decided to help marginalized sectors as a way of giving back, after fruitful two years of operations in the country.
The winner will receive more than P1 million worth of prizes in cash and in kind from the casino and its sponsors. Other winners will receive the following prizes: first runner-up (P260,000 in cash an in knd), second runner-up (P160,000), and third runner-up (P65,000) for the third and fourth runners-up. Winners and qualified candidates may also receive employment offers from Midori and BBI. /ee
