Woman killed, 3 others hurt in Pangasinan motorbike collision

 

DAGUPAN CITY — A woman was killed while her husband and two others were injured in a road accident on Friday night, July 6, at Umingan town in Pangasinan,  police said on Saturday.

Violita Dacumos, 51, succumbed to severe head injuries while she was being taken to a hospital, according to Chief Inspector Exzur Relatado, Umingan police chief.

Investigation showed that Dacumos was riding at the back of the motorcycle driven by her husband, Mamerto  Dacumos, 51, when they collided with another motorcycle along the provincial road at Barangay (village) Del Rosario at 6:40 p.m.

Alex Jainar, 28, and his back rider Rocky Lapeña, 36, who were aboard the other motorcycle, were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

Relatado said all of the victims were thrown off their motorcycles after the impact.  /muf
