TAGAYTAY CITY – A man died, while his partner was wounded, after they were hacked by an unidentified man while they were sleeping inside a hotel room in Pinamalayan town, Oriental Mindoro province early Wednesday morning, police said.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, Mimaropa police information officer, said Ace Malbog and Aiza Sapallo, both 32, were hacked by an unidentified man at Blue Waves Hotel in Barangay Zone 1 at 1:40 a.m.

Sapallo said her wounds and a pain in her mouth woke her up. She was about to tell Malbog, but saw him lifeless, with hack wounds on his neck and left arm.
