MMDA not worried about employees testing positive for drug use
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) does not see any reason to be alarmed by the number of its employees testing positive for drug use.
MMDA General Manager Jose Arturo Garcia said those who were found positive for using illegal drugs were only a small percentage of the agency’s personnel. He estimates the number to be around 1.2 percent.
Garcia, however, assured that the agency’s campaign against the use of illegal drugs will continue.
“But still ongoing yan, tuloy tuloy ang kampanya natin diyan. Saka random yan, hindi nila alam yan (It’s still ongoing. Our campaign will continue. It’s a random test),” he added.
Garcia’s statement followed the announcement that 12 male employees of the MMDA have tested positive for drug use.
