WATCH: Gunshot heard in video recording of Tanauan flag raising rite

A gunshot rang out and people in the early Monday flag ceremony at the Tanauan City Hall grounds screamed and panicked.

This was what appearend in a video recording of an official of the City Information Office of the local government’s flag raising rites amid reports that Mayor Antonio Halili was shot and critically injured during the activity.

While the actual shooting of the local executive was not caught in the one minute video clip, a single gunshot was heard around the 0:50 mark, as the national anthem was about to end.  Almost instantly, screams and chaos ensued.  /kga
