Sandugo Festival
The monthlong street dancing festival in Bohol province kicks off with a Mass and a program.
The event showcases the residents’ hospitality and culture in a series of activities that includes a song festival, trade fair, flower and garden show, and the much-awaited street dancing parade.
Another highlight of the event is the reenactment of the blood compact, or “sandugo,” between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the first governor general of the Philippines, and Bohol’s chieftain Sikatuna.

The city of San Carlos in Negros Occidental province culminates the celebration of its 58th charter day.
The festivities include a parade that features a hat and float contest, a show featuring celebrity guests and a fireworks display in the evening.
