Opposition now discussing Sereno’s Senate run
The opposition has begun talks with ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno to convince her to run for senator, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV said on Thursday.
Trillanes said he met with Sereno to explain to her why she was needed by the opposition.
Trillanes said the opposition hoped to complete a Senate slate by middle of August for approval by Vice President Leni Robredo, now the highest-ranking official of Liberal Party.— LEILA B. SALAVERRIA
