Ex-village chair of Marawi found dead on Iligan City road

ILIGAN CITY — The body of a former village chair of Marawi was found on the road in Barangay Ubaldo Laya here early morning Wednesday.

The body, found lying on C3 Road of Purok 4, was covered with blanket and a cardboard, which read, “Kawatan ko. Carnapper Ako. Killer Ako. Rapist Ako. Gapamaligya ko ug Shabu. Sa Akong Amo Kamo nay mo sunod nako sa left hand ni Allah.”

(I’m a thief. I’m a car theft. I’m a killer, I’m a rapist. I sell shabu. To my master, you will be next on the left hand of Allah)”

Police said the family identified the body as that of Abulkhair Radia, also known as Abul Radia, a former barangay chair of Bubong Madaya village in Marawi City.

Senior Inspector Felix Rabago, chief of Iligan City Police Station 4, said the victim had no wounds on his body, except for bruises and contusion.
