After fighting for ma, cop revealed as a wanted man
Being a “mama’s boy” proved to be the undoing of a policeman who was arrested and charged for attacking a neighbor who had quarreled with his mother in Parañaque City.
PO2 Gadie Guarino, a member of the Calabarzon police, ended up in more trouble after it was discovered that he was wanted for murder in Cavite.
Guarino, 40, was charged by the Parañaque police on Wednesday with grave threats, physical injuries and illegal possession of firearms.
Senior Insp. Jerry Sunga, the chief investigator, said the arrest warrant issued last year by Executive Judge Eduardo Israel Tanguanco of the Bacoor, Cavite Regional Trial Court Branch 89 listed only an alias for Guarino.
The officer admitted being the subject of the warrant following his arrest on Tuesday in Barangay San Isidro.
This was after he allegedly assaulted a neighbor, Alberto Candion, who earlier had a quarrel with the officer’s mother over neighborhood gossip. —Matthew Reysio-Cruz
