Motorists and commuters reported experiencing heavy traffic along roads surrounding the closed Otis Bridge in Manila on Wednesday.
Netizens took to social media their rants about the gridlock apparently caused by the closure of the bridge in Paco starting midnight Monday.
“Please post alternate routes and expected opening of the bridge. Traffic still terrible today,” Twitter user named Mich Pineda said in her post.

“Still not passable this morning? So many bottle necks na po,” another netizen, Jandrick Co, wrote on Twitter.

Apparently responding to the query, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA said: “Not passable po ang Otis Bridge natin.”

The MMDA earlier announced the closure of the bridge after large cracks were seen along its central part.
The MMDA did not say when the bridge would be reopened to motorists. /kga
