FEATURED STORIES

The names of the affected project owners and construction firms were not disclosed by the city government which said the stoppage orders would be in effect until they get the required permits.

This was after their projects were found to be in violation of Section 301 of the Building Code which states that building owners must first secure a building permit before starting construction.

Acuesta said the affected project owners also violated Section 1102 which states that construction material and equipment should not obstruct the use of fire hydrants, alarm boxes, catch basins or manholes or interfere with the drainage of any street or alley gutter. —Dexter Cabalza
