Southwest monsoon affects parts of Luzon – Pagasa

Expect cloudy skies, rain

The southwest monsoon continues to prevail over the western section of Northern and Central Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected in the Ilocos region, Zambales, Bataan and Palawan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain.

Weather forecaster Samuel Duran said there was no weather disturbance within the Philippine area of responsibility. /kga
