Men in police camouflage uniforms kill 3 people in Zamboanga del Sur
PAGADIAN CITY – Armed men wearing police camouflage uniforms ambushed and killed three persons – one of them a public high school teacher – in Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur on Tuesday.
Senior Insp. Jeremias Pepito, the Dimataling police chief, identified the victims as Saddat Ebrahim Bongga, 42, who was assigned at the Laouriano Saludsod National High School; his businessman-brother Sammer Bongga, 37; and Sadam Lam, 28, a fisherman.
The Bongga siblings were on separate motorcycles, with Lam backriding with Saddat.
They were traversing the road in Sitio Bunkhouse in Barangay Poblacion when fired at by at least two perpetrators, who were in a car, around 6:15 a.m.
Saddat was armed with a handgun, but he was not able to draw it, Pepito said.
The Dimataling police was still conducting a thorough investigation of the incident, but Pepito said one of the possible motives could be rido or family feud. /atm
