SAN PEDRO CITY – Four people, who, according to the police, were involved or previously part of the illegal drugs trade, were shot dead in Antipolo City, Rizal province on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Rommel Bedrona, 30; Dave Natalaray, 32; Leonard Constantino, 27; and Constantino’s live-in partner Margaret Diane Salazar, 21, were drinking in front of a barber shop in Barangay Mambugan when motorcycle-riding gunmen shot them around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Natalaray and Salazar were dead on the spot while Bedrona and Constantino died on the way to the hospital.
The gunmen escaped.
A follow-up report from Antipolo City identified the victims as “drug users or pushers,” according to Calabarzon police spokesperson Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran.
They also earlier “surrendered” to the government’s campaign against drugs but returned to the illegal trade.
