Despite this, rainy weather will prevail over Luzon as Ester continues to enhance the effects of southwest monsoon (habagat) on Saturday.

According to Pagasa, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales would have monsoon rains for Saturday caused by this weather disturbance.

The weather bureau advised the public, especially those located in the affected areas, to be cautious for possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mindoro and the rest of Central Luzon, will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers will also be in effect over Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon, Pagasa added. /jpv
