TD ‘Ester’ exits PAR but habagat will continue to bring rain
Tropical Depression “Ester” is now out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), the state weather bureau said.
Ester has increased its speed and has exited PAR at about 10 p.m. of Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Despite this, rainy weather will prevail over Luzon as Ester continues to enhance the effects of southwest monsoon (habagat) on Saturday.
According to Pagasa, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales would have monsoon rains for Saturday caused by this weather disturbance.
The weather bureau advised the public, especially those located in the affected areas, to be cautious for possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.
