QC council exempts condo, gaming place from zoning

/ 06:25 AM June 14, 2018

The Quezon City Council has passed resolutions exempting a housing developer in Barangay Pag-asa and a gaming operator in Ugong Norte from local zoning rules.

A resolution introduced by Councilor Raquel Malangen authorized the issuance of a Certificate of Exception to Hi-Integra Homes Inc., the owner and developer of a seven-story building with 60 residential condominiums on Road 7, Pag-asa.

The Sangguniang Barangay and the residents posed no objection to the project, noting it will not adversely affect public health and safety and that it was in keeping with the general pattern of development in the community.

Meanwhile, a resolution authored by Councilor Alexis R. Herrera approved the same exemption for Glorious Throne Data Company Inc., which is owned by Santos Chua Tan and runs a gaming studio on Santol Road, Ugong Norte.

Both the village council and homeowners association did not object to the proposed renovation of the events place, the resolution said, adding that the establishment has been operating in the area for years.
