OLONGAPO CITY – A magnitude 3.1 earthquake hit the province of Aurora on Tuesday (June 12), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tremor hit east of Casiguran town at 11:02 a.m. and had a depth of 13 kilometers, the agency said in its bulletin.
Phivolcs noted that the quake was of tectonic origin.
No aftershocks or damage could be expected from the quake, Phivolcs added. ALLAN MACATUNO
