Pagasa: Light to moderate rains in parts of Luzon on Saturday afternoon

Light to moderate rains are expected over Metro Manila, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

MANILA, Philippines —  Light to moderate rains are expected over Metro Manila, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

This was based on a rainfall advisory issued by the state weather bureau at 2 p.m.

Pagasa also said that light to moderate rains, with occasional heavy rains, are currently affecting Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, and Cavite.

“The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 5:00 PM today,” the advisory read.

The state weather bureau is currently monitoring Tropical Depression Aghon, which, based on their 11 a.m. bulletin, kept its intensity as it crossed the waters off San Vicente town in Northern Samar.
