Obama wants gun violence measures passed in 2013

President Barack Obama pledged to put his “full weight” behind a legislative package next year aimed at containing gun violence, recalling the shooting rampage that killed 20 elementary school students as the worst day of his presidency.

Most of the victims killed in a horrific shooting at a Connecticut elementary school were first graders, and were shot more than once with an assault rifle, the coroner said Saturday.

US school shooting deaths all gunshot wounds

A medical examiner says all the victims of the U.S. school shooting were killed by gunshot wounds. Dr. H. Wayne Carver told a news conference Saturday the deaths are classified as homicides.
