Fewer murders in major American cities in 2013

Homicides fell sharply in many leading US cities in 2013, plummeting by as much as 20 percent, official data showed on Wednesday.

US school shooting deaths all gunshot wounds

A medical examiner says all the victims of the U.S. school shooting were killed by gunshot wounds. Dr. H. Wayne Carver told a news conference Saturday the deaths are classified as homicides.
