MANILA, Philippines? A Malabon City policeman is set to press charges in the city prosecutor?s office against his three sisters and brother-in-law whom he accused of assaulting him and his family, including his 1-year-old daughter, and robbing him of P100,000 in cash.

Police Officer 3 Edgardo Toledo, of Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila filed on Wednesday night a complaint at Manila Police District (MPD)?s Station 2 alleging that Esmeralda Toledo-Todie, Ma. Elizabeth Toledo-Tapia, William Waje and Ma. Cristina Toledo-Waje, had attacked him and members of his family before stealing his money.

He added that he and his partner, Joan Cleo Bautista, as well as their daughter, Elizabeth Mariel, were hurt when his family attacked them.

SPO2 Cody Carmelo, desk officer of the MPD Station 2, said the complainant and Bautista had a heated argument with the Toledo siblings which resulted in Todie, Tapia, and the Waje couple allegedly attacking the Malabon City policeman, his partner and their daughter.

Next agenda

Toledo told police investigators that after harming his family, his siblings proceeded to steal P100,000 in cash from him before fleeing to their homes.

Both the complainant and his alleged attackers live in the same compound.

After checking his injuries, the policeman proceeded to MPD Station 2 to file a complaint.

Carmelo told Inquirer that Toledo was advised by investigators to file the complaint in the city prosecutor?s office, pointing out the possibility that the matter could still be settled among the siblings.
