LUCENA CITY — Police on Sunday intercepted a truck full of illegally qyiuarried sand taken from a river in Infanta town in Quezon province, police said Monday.

The Quezon police said in a report that local cops and Department of Environment and Natural Resources operatives flagged down at 1:20 p.m. a mini dump truck being driven by “Jay” in Barangay Pilaway.

The driver failed to show a permit from the Quezon Provincial Mining Regulatory Board (PRMB) for the quarry materials.
