A government official reportedly owns a $150-million building in San Francisco, California.
That’s P6.75 billion at the current rate of P45 to the US dollar.
Where did the official get that much money?
The building is reportedly under the name of the official’s balae.
The official’s son is married to the daughter of the alleged building owner who is not known to be a billionaire in this country.

The government spent $1.5 million for President Gloria and her friends in Congress in her recent visit to the United States.
They stayed in the best hotels. They rented 30 cars. They paid $207++ per plate for their dinners.
For their visit, 250 Philippine consulate officials in the US had to be mobilized to serve their every need.
All of these perks they enjoyed while the country was suffering from the devastation wrought by Typhoon “Frank.”

I doff my hat to Sen. Richard Gordon who was supposed to be on that list, but did not go at the last minute because he was involved in relief efforts after the devastation left by Typhoon Frank. Gordon is chair of the Philippine National Red Cross.
Legislators would have brought praises for themselves if they cut short their US trip in sympathy for the victims.

Who is this well-known radio commentator of a big network who talks as if he’s more popish than the pope, but who didn’t think twice when he reportedly requested that his wife be appointed a regional trial court judge?
Tsk, tsk, tsk! And this guy had the temerity to criticize his peers during a talk he had at the Manila Electric Company on how to deal with media.
How can he now criticize a government that gave him a big favor?
