So young yet so familiar. While candidates in Samar are getting younger, their names look and sound old. In Catbalogan City, the 29-year-old daughter of incumbent Mayor Coefredo Uy is running for mayor against her brother-in-law.

A “juvenile” Philippine Eagle (Pithecphaga jefferyi) was recently sighted and photographed at the 3,720-hectare Taft Forest Wildlife (Philippine Eagle) Sanctuary in Taft, Eastern Samar, which is in the Samar Island Natural Park (SINP).
